lyrics
Open grave the look sweeps on
Watching the boy who was never born
On his face my shadow falls
Why can’t I touch him anymore?
The grave’s blood on my face
The grave’s blood in my veins
My hand comes up against a stone
While it’s looking for your grip
As I am reading out your name
And all the years you’ve lived
The grave’s blood on my face
The grave’s blood in my veins
I haven’t seen you but i do now
You couldn’t reach for the surface
Like a phoenix from the fire
You resurrect from my stories
I don’t miss you
I couldn't miss you at all
I love you even I don’t know you and I
Miss nothing but the never-happened memories

I was extremely hyperfixated on this album a couple years back. not as much as me with Long Season by Fishmans rn but it was a big obsession. listening to it again, it's still just as good now I love it so much omg, honourable mentions: keeping stone water awake, known, unturning. katsumashi
The Australian prog band channels the chaos of climate change into powerful songs that juxtapose beauty with unpredictable brutality. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 28, 2021

I never cared about symphonic metal at all. I do very much care about folk as well as progressive metal, and so I couldn't resist after reading the third exceptional AMG review for Wilderun in a row. 'Sleep...' has been on my radar for quite some time, being graced by one of the most beckoning cover arts I have ever seen. The band more than lives up to its reputation, composing great musical pieces from start to finish. I absolutely love the multitude of influences being put together here. David Fischer
