lyrics
I was standing by the doorway
Couldn't tell if I was worth all that
It didn't seem so hard at all
With the keywords running through my head
My old fellows on my shoulder
All they ask: what are you searching for?
Does it make you sense at all?
So I started to climb upon those stairs
Still pretending i'm just halfway there
But I couldn't stand not breathing around
Facing all the things i've long forgotten
Finding all the keys like they were given
Right into my hands
Although I wasn't born for dying now I'm feeling so
Resignedly I'm sighing: what I'm waiting for?
My fear inside still binding or I'm still unsure
Give me a reason that's worth fighting or I'll let you go
So we are passing by this hallway
Couldn't tell if we're still worth all that
We didn't seem so torn at all
As our memories keep us walk ahead
Pulling ourselves through the mirrors
All the boudaries we've been clinging to
On a way that still unfolds
Although I wasn't born for dying but I'm feeling so
Resignedly i'm sighing: what I'm waiting for?
My fear inside still binding or I'm still unsure
Give me a reason that's worth fighting just don't let me go
Will I ever get to know
Is this heading the way it used to grow
Or will it never be the same
As we're standing by the window
Still afraid of what we've always known
On our way that still unfolds
Although I wasn't born for dying but I'm feeling so
Resignedly I'm sighing: what I'm waiting for?
My fear inside still binding or I'm still unsure
You're the reason that's worth fighting (and) I won't let you go
A reason that's worth fighting
My fear inside's still binding
Will it never be the same?
Or it's a way that still unfolds?
I was extremely hyperfixated on this album a couple years back. not as much as me with Long Season by Fishmans rn but it was a big obsession. listening to it again, it's still just as good now I love it so much omg, honourable mentions: keeping stone water awake, known, unturning. katsumashi
The Australian prog band channels the chaos of climate change into powerful songs that juxtapose beauty with unpredictable brutality. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 28, 2021
I never cared about symphonic metal at all. I do very much care about folk as well as progressive metal, and so I couldn't resist after reading the third exceptional AMG review for Wilderun in a row. 'Sleep...' has been on my radar for quite some time, being graced by one of the most beckoning cover arts I have ever seen. The band more than lives up to its reputation, composing great musical pieces from start to finish. I absolutely love the multitude of influences being put together here. David Fischer
